The Accident and Emergency unit has six consultation cubicles and a fully equipped resuscitation and procedure room. The unit is manned by qualified and experienced casualty officers (doctors) who operate a twenty-four-hour shift per day (2x 6hrs shifts and 1x12Hr shift)

SMC operate both retail as well as a hospital pharmacy. The retail pharmacy sells basically over-the –counter (OTCs) drugs as well selling on a small scale, prescription drugs. The hospital pharmacy handles mainly the prescription drugs administered in the wards as well as at the emergency and casualty department.
