Suburban Medical Centre has been in operation since August 1994. The project was conceptualized, developed, and operated as a one- stop medical centre by the late Dr. E.S Mazhindu. It was to turn out to be a leading example of an individually constructed medical care centre competing for a market share in an industry dominated by public institutions.
